Greetings. 🙂
For the last few days, I have been working on a new post for my blog. However, the more time I spent, the more I struggled. The more I struggled, the more I would doubt. I was doubting everything from content to appearance, and platform. Every little detail was being scrutinized to the nth degree. It was at the point where there was no progress being made in any part of my life. I was completely drained both emotionally and physically.
So what do you do when you are struggling? You reach out.
Once a week, sometimes more, I connect with a close friend via Zoom. It has been such a blessing that allows the two of us to stay close even though we live in different states. By chance or divine appointment, it just so happened that our normal chat session had to be moved and today was the day for “Girl Chat”.
It was no surprise that my friend listened and didn’t hesitate about what she needed to share. After telling me that I was overthinking everything and that this blog was designed to be authentic and unfiltered, she simply said, “Don’t mess up good for perfect”. Those six little words were like an immediate awaking in my spirit. It was undeniable to feel the Holy Spirit just perk up saying, yep that’s what I’m talking about! Stop worrying about the small stuff. Get the stuff out there and let me work. I could feel the smile on my face through every part of my body. It was crazy!
Within seconds my attitude shifted, and the promise of God’s plan for me was clear. I felt lighter, energized, and ready to hit the keys and get this post out.
It is so critical that we are in a community with one another and that we can rely on each other to speak the truth when we need to hear it the most. God has placed each of us here not for ourselves but for each other. It is so true A Burden Shared Is a Burden Lifted. The apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Be that friend that lends an ear and offers wise words, but be okay when you need to rely on a friend to do the same.
Thank you, Paula, for lending your ear and allowing God to use you to get me back on track.
Remember, God sent His Son to save us from sin and an eternity away from Him. We are designed to be in a relationship not only with God but with each other. Reach out if you need an ear. I’m here.
We are Better Together.
God Bless.
